VERMILION REPOSE VI
An original seated male nude from my Vermilion Repose Series.
The crossed and raised legs create a strong rhythm through the composition while areas of deep shadow contrast with illuminated skin. Loose vermilion washes and visible drawing give the piece the character of a traditional atelier figure study.
