This pattern was inspired by two dolls from the turn of the century. They are friends that are meant to never part. They have declared themselves Sistas for life, and their hearts are connected by a small chain.
I know it's a little hard to see the black doll's face. The black doll is posed with her arm around the white doll.
I think this pair would make a wonderful gift to a teenage girl to express to her that a Sister can be anybody special to you, not just someone related by blood or marriage.
This pattern is out of print and very hard to find. It is also very collectible.
