**The Paintings:**
1. **Venice "Capriccio" (Vertical):** A beautiful architectural fantasy scene combining the famous Rialto Bridge on the Grand Canal with the facade of the Church of San Giorgio Maggiore. This canvas is hand-signed by the artist "J. Rose" in red script in the lower-right corner.
2. **Rome View along the Tiber (Horizontal):** A sweeping panoramic view highlighting the historic circular fortress of Castel Sant'Angelo and the Ponte Sant'Angelo bridge, with the distant dome of St. Peter's Basilica resting against the clouds.
