Vintage Beistle St. Patrick's Day Tissue Honeycomb Centerpieces - Matching Pair (1979)Up for sale is a wonderful, authentic matching pair of vintage 1979 Beistle St. Patrick's Day table centerpieces. Both pieces feature classic, nostalgic vintage styling with the traditional "Erin Go Bragh" banner, an Irish harp, and large shamrocks set above an expanding green tissue paper honeycomb base.Condition Details & Features (Please review all high-resolution photos)
Authenticity: Both pieces feature the genuine vintage "MADE IN U.S.A." print on the cardstock body, guaranteeing their era and authenticity to collectors.
Graphics & Cardstock: Bright, vibrant green shades with the iconic late-1970s airbrushed "stardust" texture effect. The cardstock pieces remain sturdy and stand straight and upright when unfolded although there are a few creases at the leaf bases and one does fold in. The outer edges of the shamrocks are remarkably crisp and clean with minimal shelf wear.
Harp Toppers: One centerpiece has a top crown detail on the harp pillar that is missing half of 2 of the spikes. The second centerpiece shows a cardboard tear/separation at the very top crown detail that has been taped on at some point in the past (both conditions are clearly highlighted in the close-up listing photos).
Tissue Paper Base: The green honeycomb paper expands fully on both sides into a complete, classic half-dome shape. There is typical vintage tearing, fraying, and minor separation along the delicate green tissue edges, particularly on the outer corners near the tabs.
Hardware & Display: The original metal closure tabs are present on the base cardstock on 3 of the closures. Because of the age-appropriate tissue wear around these corners, standard paper clips work perfectly to secure the honeycomb tissue fully open for a beautiful table presentation (as demonstrated in the photos).These pieces fold completely flat for slim, safe storage when not in use.
