So, if you\'re here, then you either know the lineage of this piece, or you simply like the slogan--either way, I won\'t spend too much time explaining this one, for it pretty much speaks for itself. This shirt first appeared in the mid-70s, and it made the rounds mainly in New York where Patti Smith in particular was photographed wearing it fairly frequently, including during a photoshoot at a local record store in 1978 (see pics). It has been reprinted ad-nauseum, of course, and the newer prints are all bunk (run a search right here on and see for yourself). At this point, I have the only remaining OGs left on the market--and this gem is even more affordable than the other ones (see the other two listings for comparison). This is another, slightly different, iteration from the 80s--a large Hanes, so well-preserved that it\'s almost hard to believe. It fits and feels like only an old school Hanes could, soft as a baby\'s butt and bod-flattering as all hell (again, see pics). And it\'s flawless: washed and worn a time or two, and then summarily stored away in a cool, dry place--until now. And the sentiment couldn\'t be any more timely, could it? We\'re literally living through the worst, most egregious campaign by the rich to rob us working folk of any and allremaining money that we collectively possess. They\'ll never be satisfied, the bastards, and yet they continue to horde and offshore their wealth, as though a few extra millions (or billions) is actually going to make them happier. I wanna puke just thinking about it, and probably you do as well; but for now, all we can do is take a stand--a defiant one, and there are some significant signs that the pitchforks are finally coming out. Look at what ICE is doing. Take a look at your monthly bills, your grocery store receipts--the goddamn gas! It\'s nothing but naked greed--and, ironically, such massive inequality is bad for the rich as well as the poor. How many summer homes can they collect? How many yachts can they possibly waterski behind before they\'re finally satisfied? These questions are unanswerable because there is no rational explanation. They just want it all, and we can\'t let them have it; and ultimately, they\'ll have to face the music because we simply won\'t stand for it. In the immortal words of Jeff \"The Dude\" Lebowski, \"This aggression will not stand!\" So I\'ll rock this puppy proudly wherever I go, but I suspect I won\'t have to. I\'m sure it\'ll sell; it\'s just a matter of who acquires it next. I won\'t wear it out, tempting as that may be, so you\'ll get it in the same condition it is now. I have faith in you--in us. Buy a bunk ass reprint if you wish, but you know as well as I do, it just wouldn\'t be the same. This is one of the oldest punk slogans in the history of the movement (if you\'re a fan of the film Suburbia by Penelope Spheeris--and I have that tee as well--then you know that one of the punks featured in the promo poster has this slogan painted prominently on his jeans as he marches defiantly down a suburban street in LA). And there\'s no decrying the \"provocativeness\" of this particular slogan. They bitched about \"Black Lives Matter\"; they distorted \"Defund the Police\"--but there\'s really no demonizing this one, is there? Let the rapacious fat cats cry out, \"Don\'t eat me!\"--and see how many supporters they rally to that ridiculous cause. It\'s indefensible. Tax the crap out of them, close these absurd loopholes, and reestablish the middleclass before it\'s too late. These leeches--the time has come. Justifiably, defiantly dope!
