Ilyushin Il-96-300, registered RA-96007, was the last operational Il-96-300 in Aeroflot\'s fleet, named \'A. Mayorov\' after a former head of the airline\'s 235th Air Detachment, having first flown on November 24, 1992. The aircraft flew Aeroflot\'s last scheduled Il-96 passenger service on February 2, 2014, before being stored, then later returned to airworthiness and sold to Cuban carrier Cubana de Aviacion in 2015. As part of Aeroflot\'s pioneering post-Soviet widebody fleet, RA-96007 represented the final chapter of Russia\'s flag carrier operating its domestically produced long-haul quadjet before the type\'s role shifted primarily to Russian government transport.
