Colonial Candle Wall Box - circa 1750's The beautiful antique original that this Fabulous Candle Box was modeled after was found lovingly displayed in an old New England estate. Made of solid wood, this majestic box has a lollipop type back plate design with obvious worn hole for convenient wall hanging. This type of wall box hailed from the Colonial era and was originally used to store and protect candles. The aged and worn Tavern Blue paint and square nail construction are remarkable. This fine hand-crafted wall box is an affordable Early American Antique reproduction that is consistent in both construction and appearance to the original authentic period piece from well over a century ago. The dimensions are 12” h x 10 1/2" w x 5 1/2" d.
