The Prominent American Series: Issues of 1965–1975 is a collectible U.S. postage stamp album devoted to notable Americans honored by the United States Postal Service. The album combines historical information with mounted postage stamps depicting presidents, writers, journalists, educators, reformers, military figures, and other prominent Americans. Visible examples include George Washington, Dwight D. Eisenhower, John F. Kennedy, Andrew Jackson, Ernie Pyle, Frederick Douglass, Lucy Stone, Eugene O’Neill, John Dewey, Thomas Burns, and others.
This hardcover album contains 24 unused/mint postage stamps, attractively displayed on black album pages. The blue hardcover features a decorative star design with facsimile-style signatures. The book is in overall very good condition with light exterior shelf and edge wear visible. The interior pages shown are clean and well preserved, and the stamps present nicely.
