These kits are not for High output alternators, they will not bring up low output voltage or low idle output, that is the alternator itself. Voltage regulators do not work at low engine RPM's. At idle it's all the alternator, they only control the top RPM voltage from overcharging. if your alternator is working good. IMPORTANT NOTE: Adjustable voltage regulator may not increase voltage at Idle speed, the adjustment is for top end output . The only way to bring idle voltage output up is to increase Idle speed , smaller pulley, or a physically larger alternator.
