Produced for Trifari by Alfred Philippe between 1940-1942 during World War II, this rare book piece pin features an American Eagle with red and white baguette rhinestone feather tips, red rhinestone eye, blue rhinestone body, and pave-set clear rhinestones for the shoulders, head and legs. This one does react to a magnet so is probably pot metal with a rhodium coating. All stones are present, original, and bright and none are dark. Metal is bright with no flaking.
