Rare original American lithograph titled \"She Wandered Down the Mountain Side\", published by Edmond Parsloe, Brooklyn, New York, c. 1872. The image depicts a a frowning thin, young woman walking down a hill in the moonlight. The print is lampooning a popular song by Frederic Clay that was published in Boston 1871.It is printed in black ink on fine cream colored wove paper, the image measures 10 1/8 x 8 1/4 inches, sheet size is 11 3/4 x 9 1/4 inches. Paper is very mildly toned, otherwise it in excellent condition.The National Museum of American History has in its permanent collection an almost identical (reversed) and slightly later lithograph, published by Parsloe, Vance & Co., circa 1875 (see last image in gallery)
