Now this is a delicious crossing of Halloween an antique bisque doll presented in a very rare form. One just does not see very many umbrella dolls from this era as it is let alone one decorated specifically for Halloween. I can only assume that either the heads broke or the fabric deteriorated to the point of being thrown away. That is not the case here. The total length is about 15 inches. I have found one tiny hole in the fabric which I have photographed for you. The umbrella can still be opened. Notice the use of the tiny black flower shaped beads to help create the look. It still retains its original orange ribbon at the base of the handle. She has a lovely face. I have tried to see the makers mark but I cannot find it without messing with her wig and hat, which I choose not to do. Take a good look at my photos and feel free to ask questions.
