This Set is generally considered the First American Edition, and the First Edition released in the United States. It was printed directly from manuscripts from England. Therefore, THERE ARE NO CRUIKSHANK ILLUSTRATIONS included yet. (see the Publisher\'s Notice). The FIRST BRITISH EDITION had 3 volumes. The Set without the illustrations may be even more valuable.
