Ivan Marchuk is a People\'s Artist of Ukraine, laureateof the Taras Shevchenko National Prize of Ukraine, member of the Golden Guildof the Roman Academy of Modern Art.
Born on May 12, 1936 in the village of Moskalivka, Lanivtsidistrict, Ternopil region. Included in the rating of the 100 most prominentgeniuses of our time, compiled by the British newspaper «The DailyTelegraph» in 2007.
The stamp features the painting «Tell Me theTruth»(1994, canvas, acrylic, 100x80) from the cycle «The Voice ofMy Soul»,the envelope features a portrait of the artist and a fragment of the paintingfrom the cycle «AGlance into Infinity» (2013, canvas, acrylic, 100x100).
In total, the master’s artistic legacy includes aboutfive thousand paintings across twelve creative cycles, ranging fromhyperrealism to abstract surrealism.
