Rare vintage Matsuda 10128 eyeglass frame with its matching removable sunglass clip-on and case. Made in Japan, this is a distinctive older Matsuda design featuring a small oval metal frame, intricate engraved detailing, and the elaborate mechanical/industrial styling for which vintage Matsuda eyewear is known.
The clip-on is specifically matched to the Matsuda 10128 frame and is a major part of this set. It features purple/plum tinted non-RX sunglass lenses, engraved metal surrounds, side retaining clips, and a distinctive spring/coil-style top bar. The clear lenses currently installed in the eyeglass frame are RX lenses and will need to be replaced as appropriate for the new owner. The included tinted sunglass clip-on is specifically matched to the Matsuda 10128 frame and fits securely over the eyeglasses as designed. The clip-on lenses are NOT RX and can be used as sunglasses over the frame once the buyer has their appropriate clear lenses installed.
This is a genuinely vintage piece and shows age-related wear and patina. The clear temple-tip material has yellowed with age, and there is visible finish wear/patina in areas of the metal frame and clip-on. These characteristics are shown clearly in the close-up photographs.
