RARE Vintage 1950s Midas of Miami Gold Wicker Poodle Novelty Handbag Purse For Sale

Absolutely adorable vintage 1950sMidas of Miami novelty handbag, featuring an exceptionally charming dimensional white poodle against black fabric panels, surrounded by beautifully preserved gold wicker.

The poodle is wonderfully detailed, with bright red bows, iridescent eyes, a rhinestone collar, silver-tone outlining, tiny painted red toenails, and a fluffy pom-pom tail. The embroidered“Twee Lucy”inscription adds to the whimsical character of this wonderful design.

Thegold wicker is remarkably well preserved, retaining a beautiful, rich metallic finish. The braided gold handles are also in excellent condition, as are the gold-tone hardware and decorative trim. The contrast between the black fabric, white poodle, and luminous gold wicker makes this an especially striking example of a mid-century novelty handbag.

The interior retains its original golden fabric lining with pockets and isremarkably clean for its age. There are a few small age-related spots near the label, which are shown in the photographs. The original label reads:

“An Original by Midas of Miami – Handcrafted in Miami, Fla.”

Condition:Excellent vintage condition overall, especially considering its age. The wicker, handles, decorative elements, and dimensional poodle are exceptionally well preserved. There is only minor age-related wear, along with the few small spots noted on the interior lining near the label. The bag presents beautifully.
