Extraordinarily curated. High-grade collection. Seven vintage corn cob estate pipes, some fine examples of mid-century and pre-WWII American craftsmanship. I’m offering the 7 pipe stand, in addition to acurated Corn Cob history representing timeline tracking the historic design variations & competitive rivalries across the golden age of American cob manufacturing. 1. Phoenix-American (Boonville, MO) with Pristine, pre-1954, museum-grade circular paper label featuring the iconic Phoenix-American Eagle and Arrows corporate crest, alongside a hidden, precision-machined faux-bamboo tenon extension—an incredibly scarce pre-WWII engineering detail. Dark Lucite stem is in great shape, it does have a pinhole sized tooth impression/hole, hardly visible.
2. Buescher\'s Billiard (Washington, MO) Clean, fully legible circular paper label reading \"Buescher\'s / Washington, MO\"wrapping around a \"Missouri Pipes U.S.A.\" core. White saddle stem is in great shape, no chatter, fits very well to shank.
3. Missouri Meerschaum \"Golfer/Custom\" Square Shank - Intact bottom hardwood plug configuration, no label. square-tapered hardwood shank paired with a straight Acorn shape cob bowl. Thick, high-grade translucent amber acrylic stem, with pinhole sized tooth impression/hole. This is the only Cob without label.
4. Missouri Meerschaum Lovat (FULL COB SHANK) circular paper label sharply showing the stylized angled \"MM\" logo. Straight Lovat silhouette utilizing a high-grade full-cob textured round shank, rather than smooth wood.Premium black vulcanite saddle stem showing very mild surface oxidation but completely free of tooth marks.
5. Buescher\'s Billiard (Washington, MO) — Clean, fully legible circular paper label reading \"Buescher\'s / Washington, MO\"wrapping around a \"Missouri Pipes U.S.A.\". This tenon is 40% broken off inside the shank - The stem was tight, and part is stuck in the mortis.The good news, it was only part and the stem remains able to fit to the shank, albeit a few mm. from flush.
6. Buescher\'s unplastered Series (\"Big Walker Lookout, VA.\") Bueschers World Famous circular label is in great condition. Shank is heat-stamped typography reading \"BIG WALKER LOOKOUT, VA.\" along the wood grain. Un-plastered vertical sweet-corn channel grooves along the raw cob walls.
7. Missouri Meerschaum Bent BilliardCountry Gentleman 1930s-1950’s =High-grade full-cob textured round shank, sweeping gentle bend, dark translucent amber acrylic saddle bit, black accent collar, and a flawless, museum-grade circular \"Radio\" era paper label. I believe this is the country gentleman shape, could be mistaken.
I am offering a quantity of my pipe collection, as I slowly try to reduce the collection on - I have been attempting to offer new additions weekly, if not daily.Included is astand and each pipe will remain unreamed, with original carbon layer, with perfectly sound wood floor plugs, showing the care and appreciation for these pipes. As I decide which parts of the collection to let go, I am adding a variety of pipes for offer. Many of my pipes will have stem oxidation removed and will be polished.
