Wonderful vintage pendant light fixture which I believe (but can't absolutely prove) is an antique oil fixture refitted for electricity. COMES READY TO USE: RECENTLY REWIRED AND A NEW SOCKET INSTALLED.
The large glass globe is about 8” diameter and has a Greek acanthus motif etched all the way around. It has heavy brass hardware. The collar, cap and bottom cap all show nice patina and have not been painted or polished. The hanging chains on the cap run through two small brass pulleys on the collar and down to the inside. Holds one standard light bulb.
The glass is in great shape and I find no cracks or chips. Brass hardware looks to be in good condition, no dents or breaks. None of the brass has been painted or polished.
