******VERY RARE!!!!
Beautiful antique Wedgwood demitasse coffee cup and saucer set dating to the Victorian era, circa 1875.
This listing includes 7 matching demitasse cups and 7 matching saucers, for a total of 14 pieces.
Each piece features an elaborate Imari/Japanesque floral design in rich cobalt blue and iron red with gilt accents. The cups are beautifully decorated both inside and out, with coordinating decoration on the saucers.
The pieces are impressed WEDGWOOD on the underside and bear the impressed FGD date code. Wedgwood's three-letter dating system identifies the final letter "D" with the year 1875. The hand-painted factory/pattern reference A348 is also present.
Included:
• 7 demitasse cups
• 7 matching saucers
• 14 pieces total
These are genuine antique pieces approximately 150 years old and show age-appropriate wear, including crazing and some wear to the gilt and decoration. I don't really see any chips or major issues besides color variations. Please review all photographs closely for the exact condition of each piece.
A wonderful surviving matched group of Victorian Wedgwood, especially attractive for collectors of antique Wedgwood, Imari and Japonisme ceramics.
Please refer to photos for measurements and additional condition details. Antique and vintage items may show signs of age and previous use.
