COLLECTOR'S NOTE: A spectacular find for serious historians of early wearable art. While single-pendant Victorian celluloid items are occasionally found, a fully intact, three-panel triptych festoon necklace from the turn of the century is an extreme rarity.
Finding one that is on this stunning shape for a piece over 130 years old , and virtually impossible to find one with the delicate openwork frames , makes this an investment-grade acquisition.
Up for sale is a museum-quality piece of turn-of-the-century jewelry history.
This authentic antique festoon necklace dates from the late Victorian to early Edwardian era (circa 1890–1915) and features a masterfully preserved three-panel storytelling layout.
The central openwork frame showcases a beautifully molded black cameo profile of an elegant woman.
It is symmetrically flanked by two mirrored side panels depicting smaller matching women's portraits, creating a striking triptych drape design.
A uniquely textured drop charm anchors the lowest point of the piece.
The cameos are seamlessly integrated into a period-correct geometric brass chain featuring classic trombone/watch-fob bar links and bezel-set green decorative stones.

Total End-to-End Length: 12.5 inches ( -once clasped together it brings the measurement down to around 6”.
🚨So it looks to me that the 2 chain pieces that goes from the smaller side cameos to the larger center cameo could have been taken from the necklace ends to create a choker necklace for a very petite woman or a child or teenager
