Selling arare 1892 cookbook titled \"PARISH HOUSE RECEIPTS\" compiled by Women of St. Thomas Church in Bath, New York for the benefit of the PARISH HOUSE FUND. The preface refers to a few receipts are of Mrs. J. M. Platt taken from the Presbyterian Cook Book. All the recipes are readable.
This is a very old and unique cookbook in that many recipes do not specify home long to cook or at what temperature. The last few pages are recipes for the sick. Condition:
- Overall in god condition for age.
- Both covers had papers glued to it which we removed, but some glue marks and some of the cover came off with the glue in spots.
- Shelf wear to the edges.
- Binding is in good shape.
- All the recipes are readable.
- Prior owners name is written in pencil on second page.
- No other writing, tears, page folds found.
- Pages have some have small stains in spots.
- Sold as is.
