Rare Antique 6” All Bisque Doll Bent Limbs Fist Hand Glass Eyes c. 1900
A wonderful and seldom-seen all-bisque doll, approximately 6 inches tall, with an unusually expressive body. Her arms and legs are bent, and one tiny hand is modeled in a fist. She has large glass eyes, finely painted lashes and brows, rosy cheeks, a slightly open mouth, and a blonde wig tied with a ribbon. The combination of her animated pose and sweet face gives her tremendous character.
She appears to date to the early 1900s. I believe the back of her head is marked 133, though the marking should be read from the photos. She is offered as shown, without clothing.
Condition: Very good antique condition, with no damage that I have found. There are a few small manufacturing and firing irregularities, including an indentation on her right arm near the inner elbow, along with minor age-related surface marks. Please examine the close-up photos, which are part of the description.
