Rare Complete Book Set - Racing in America, The Jockey Club, 1665-1979, Hervey For Sale

Very rare and hard to find complete set of Racing in America, which is a tremendous collection of books privately published by The Jockey Club that covers the complete history of the sport in the U.S. There are a total of six editions and they are rarely offered together. Any important horse you can think of is included in here, from Lexington to Man o\' War to Secretariat and many more with beautiful pictures and artwork throughout. Here is what\'s included:

• Racing in America, Vol I and II, 1665-1865, by John Hervey, matching numbered set 651 out of 800 printed, published in 1944
• Racing in America, 1866-1921, by W.S. Vosburgh, these were not numbered but had a low print run, published in 1922
• Racing in America, 1922-1936, by John Hervey, these were not numbered but had low print run, published in 1937
• Racing in America, 1937-1959, by Robert Kelley, numbered 936 out of 1,000, published in 1960
• Racing in American, 1960-1979, by William Rudy, numbered 1825 out of 2,000, published in 1980

These books all have \"deckle\" edges, so the rough cut you see on the outside edge of the pages is how these were made. The 1866-1921 book by Vosburgh does have some minor water damage (see the third through seventh photos). The back cover has some discoloration and about the last 40 pages have some kind of discoloration, as pictured, but the rest of the book is fine. The other five books are all in excellent condition with just some light general wear. All the bindings on these are strong with no issues at all. These all have the original covers and binding.
Together these weigh almost 40 pounds and are quite large at about 10.5\"x13\", so shipping will be $79.99. If I am able to ship them cheaper, then I will refund the difference to the buyer.
