For sale is a striking MCM pottery triple bud vase...this organic, brutalist gem is the creation of Netherland's Matthieu Camps...in very good condition. From a local estate...see our seller's list for more fresh finds. Made for Lore Keramiek in Beesel, Netherlands. Height is about 5-3/4". Three "mouths" taper to wider bases that are fused together. Gorgeous matte glazing with varying shades of green with brown accents. Sometimes the clay color is more exposed on the ridges. Close inspection reveals tiny crystalline sparkles in the glaze. The whole effect is masterful. The form is organic- you think of exotic fungus. But skillfully controlled in the geometry of the bases. We were struck by the resemblance to 3 baby birds, mouths open wide, in taking the photo from above. Impressed B88 on the underside. See all the pictures for the form, glazing coloration, marks and condition which is very good as noted. No chips, cracks or repairs. No scratches or blemishes.
