Rare original WW2 Soviet SVT-40 bayonet.
Overall the bayonet is in excellent condition with little to no apparent wear and retains nearly of the original finish with some minor blemishes from longterm storage; please see photos for additional detail.The blade is in excellent condition and still retains the original factory edge (unsharpened) and tip with no apparent edge wear and only some minor light spots of finish wear to the flats of the blade from taking it in and out of the scabbard.The bayonet handle is in very good condition with some minor nicks and dings to the wood grip scales from storage; but no cracking in either panel and they retain nearly all of their original finish.
The scabbard is in excellent condition and retains nearly all of the original finish with some minor blemishes and marks from handling; it may have a couple small very shallow dings although these might be from the original forming/construction of the scabbard / application of proof marks.
The scabbard also retains the original canvas frog that is in very good condition with no apparent fraying but is cosmoline / oil stained from longterm storage.
The scabbard and bayonet are both Tula manufactured as denoted by the star marking on both (visible in 11th and 16th photo) with numerous other proof marks all over the bayonet.
Very hard to a complete set; especially in this condition.
