Description He we have a rare survivor. It\'s a wooden general store chewing tobacco barrel. The two labels read \"BIG JOHN Plug Cut\", \"Made by John Weisert Tobacco Co. St. Louis U.S. A.\", The label on the lid reads\" 1915 Market St. Philadelphia, Retailers Address, William (illegible), Retailers Signature, Jobber - John Weisert\". This is a really nice barrel. It was kept in a finished attic for many years. There is no odor. It measures 19 1/2\" tall x 14 1/2\" and weighs 9 pounds. I notice a minor split on the bottom (see 3 last pictures).
