Rare vintage Milton Keynes District Scout embroidered Badge

A rare vintage embroidered badge from the Milton Keynes District Scouts, this lovely little item is in great condition for its age, It has previously been worn, but remains a real gem. With a background of black, the words MILTON KEYNES are picked out in yellow embroidery. Between the words and taking up the central portion of the badge is the emblem featuring a five branched oak tree in yellow, set upon a pentagon divided into red and black halves, again mounted upon a yellow circle. This was the badge of the Milton Keynes district of the Scouts, with the oak tree being a symbol associated with the Borough of Milton Keynes and the red and black colours being those of Buckinghamshire. The pentagon was inspired by the five largest towns within the Milton Keynes area - Bletchley, Wolverton, Stony Stratford, Newport Pagnell and Olney. Overall dimensions for the badge are approximately 4cm high by 5cm wide.

This badge would make a fantastic gift for any collector of scouting memorabilia, those with links to the Milton Keynes and North Bucks area, or anyone who simply wants to own a little gem from a bygone era.

• Firstly, I never use Evri - I find their service unreliable - so I offer Royal Mail Tracker 48 as my standard postage option to ensure your item arrives with you in great condition. Sometimes I may be able to offer upgraded postage - see individual listings for details.
• Items are normally dispatched on the next working day (Mon-Fri, excluding public holidays) after payment is received
• You will only ever pay the actual postage cost. Unlike some I do not profit from the delivery charge and I never charge for packaging
• To save postage costs if you wish to purchase multiple items please get in touch - I will happily provide a bespoke combined item listing to keep postage costs as low as possible
• All items are hand-packed by me to ensure they arrive with you safely and in good condition.
• I carefully re-use or re-purpose packing materials where I can to reduce the carbon footprint of our transaction. Sometimes I will use plastics (foam, bubble-wrap, polybags etc) where these are the best way to ensure your items arrive in tip-top condition.
