The Ridetech 11534898 Steel Leaf Spring Kit is a replacement rear leaf spring setup for 1963-1982 Corvette models that improves both ride quality and handling performance. This version includes the leaf spring and shims only, making it a good fit for builders who already have some of the related mounting components or are replacing worn factory hardware separately.
A major highlight of this spring is Ridetech’s industry-exclusive 175 lb./in. base rate, which helps reduce body roll while maintaining strong ride comfort. The spring uses a 9-leaf design with six full-length leaves and three overload leaves, increasing to 225 lb./in. when the overload section engages. It is coated with an epoxy/graphite primer and black topcoat for corrosion resistance and includes Grade 8 hardware for differential attachment and side shims for proper fitment on both 2.25-inch and 2.5-inch wide Corvette leaf applications.
