This is an antique bisque character baby made in Germany by JD Kestner in the early 1900s



It is marked Made in Germany 211 JDK and F 10 (?)



This adorable character doll measures about 12\" tall with a perfect bisque socket head, original brown sleep eyes and blonde mohair wig, original 5 piece jointed composition body and original outfit, which includes dress, full slip, 2 undershirts, underpants, and knit sweater with matching bonnet and booties



No chips, cracks, hairlines or damage to head and it has passed the flashlight test



Body is in superb condition with just one toe chip, as shown in photos



The doll has been restrung and poses well without looseness and the clothing is in excellent condition (minor imperfections or signs of age may be found)


This doll won Third Place in 1979 Black Hills of South Dakota Region IV competition and the ribbon will be included (includes original owner\'s name with it)



A superb example of this lovely Kestner character baby



Its original plaster pate (marked with mold number) has been carefully removed and the doll\'s head will be stuffed with tissue prior to shipment to protect the eyes (pate will be included)
