Description:
A scarce antique19th Century carved treen paper clip in the form of a duck\'s head, dating to the early to mid 1800\'s.
The well carvedfruit wood clip is realistically carved in the form of an elongated duck\'s head with highly detailed neck feathers. The beak opens by pressing the hinged spring loaded mechanism from the end. The finely carved wood has developed a wonderfully deep patina after many years of handling.
The clip opens and closes easily with the internal metal spring working well.

Condition:
In good antique working condition. Minor losses to the end of the feathered area, well restored splits to the each side of the duck\'s head mainly visible from the inside, and a restored section to the hanging loop. Please see the images provided which complement this description.
