This exceptionally detailed Rio Grande GP30, road# 3015, with Sound and DCC, represents one of the 28 GP30 units rostered by the Rio Grande, 3001-3028. The 3015 was built in Feb. 1963 and retained its small lettering for its entire existence, until it was retired by UP in 1999, after the 1996 merger, and sent to Boise Locomotive. This model represents its appearance in the 80s-90s era, and is a C-10, brand new model that has never been taken out of its original box.
