Service performed:

• Replace belt

• Restore pinch roller

• Clean and demagnetize cassette head

• Clean switches and volume knob

• Clean leaf contacts

• Clean battery contacts

• Speed adjust

• Basic cosmetic cleaning

• Brass parts were polished to remove oxidation (see last image for before and after)

Functionally:

• Plays cassettes

• Fast forward/rewind works

• Volume adjustment works

• Both headphone jack work

• Has a new belt

Testing after repair:
After the repair is completed, I run several cassette tapes through the player to confirm there are no remaining mechanical issues. I then listen to2–4 tapes from start to finish, depending on how many issues were identified and repaired during servicing. This helps verify that the player continues to operate properly during extended use.
