Offered for sale is a framed set of six original 19th-century Vanity Fair sporting caricature prints, including multiple examples by the renowned Vanity Fair artist “Spy” (Leslie Ward).
These are authentic period chromolithographs, originally published in Vanity Fair magazine in London during the Victorian era (circa 1870s–1890s) and printed by Vincent Brooks, Day & Son, the principal printer for Vanity Fair at the time. They are not reproductions.
The subjects are gentleman sportsmen, a highly collectible category within Vanity Fair prints, and the group presents very well as a cohesive, decorative set.
