I remember the day when I entered my older brother\'s bedroom, and he called me over to the \"boom box,\" which was perched near the edge of the bed. He seemed excited; and (at that time) he was my hero, so I was preemptively excited and on board: clearly there was a cassette loaded into this device, and my brother was about to hit \"play.\" He did. And, for the first time, I heard the Sex Pistols. I can\'t honestly claim to have become a punk that day, but certainly this was the catalyst. So vivid is this memory that I can literally trace every facet of my life, not only my taste in music, but my my taste in film, fashion, artwork, ideology and politics--and even, to a certain extent, people (including dating partners)--back to this singular event. But for this occurrence, there would be no slim_punk-vintage--that\'s a certainty; and to this day, I\'m extremely choosy about the Pistols tees I\'d collect, and as many of you already know, I don\'t list anything that I wouldn\'t wear personally--my overarching philosophy for opening the store in the first place. Suffice it to say, the fandom runs deep, and thus I\'m pretty picky when it comes to Sex Pistols tees. Most of the ones I buy and sell are 80s originals, when the merch first started hitting the beach, but every now and then, I find a more affordable model that\'s still completely dope, and here we have a case in point: a form-fitting, bod-flattering softy with a great graphic. Now, I suppose that I could \"pitch\" this as a promo shirt for \"Pretty Vacant\"--the third single released off of the band\'s seminal album, Never Mind the Bollocks, but I\'m not even gonna do that. This is more like what I call a \"total fan\" tee; it doesn\'t really require a category or \"timestamp\"--it\'s just a dope ass piece. It\'s an old school \"generic\" vintage tee (see pics), likely manufactured and distributed while the band was priming to reform for the \"Filthy Lucre\" tour back in 1996 (the literal cut off: this was the time when single-stitched tees were about to go the way of the dodo). And it\'s eerily pristine (again, see pics). I have no burning desire to let it go, but then, I have no shortage of choices either, so here we are. You won\'t find this one anywhere else, and it\'s going cheap, so if you wanna turn some heads and start some (perhaps superficial) conversations at the dive bar, grab it while you still can. Vacantly, anarchically dope.
