This F-1 I have owned since 2021 and it has never let me down. In great working condition and comes with a half case. It is a fully functioning and very robust camera and I’d imagine it will continue to serve for many years.
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU UNDERSTAND BEFORE PURCHASING: This camera does not come with 2 out of 3 of the bottom plate screw in caps as I purchased the camera with a power winder and the caps did not come with the camera. Only ONE is necessary to make the camera light tight and fully functioning, which I purchased aftermarket and comes with the camera. The half case is intended to keep the camera in good condition (also keep the old b&h sticker on the bottom in tact as I think this is a cool touch) and substitute for the 2 missing caps.
I have shot a dozen or so rolls through this camera and I have never experience a light leak once. I can provide photos from my most recent test roll upon request.
There is some dust visible in the viewfinder when pointed at a white surface. I never felt distracted by it and it isn’t abnormal for the age of the camera.
I have replaced the light seals on the film door 2-3 years ago.
Only reason for selling is I would like to offload all of my redundant equipment for a Leica or Nikon fm. I never planned on selling this camera otherwise.
