Up for sale is the rare 1983 CBS Fox Drawer Case edition of “Spider-Man: The Chinese Web”. These 1970’s TV movies were among the first ever live action appearances of Spider-Man as a leading character. As far as I know, these films never made it to DVD. VHS, Beatmax and maybe Videodisc are the only formats they came out on.90’s reissues are rare enough, but the 1983 first release is near impossible to find!This copy is a pretty nice. The box is structurally sound, which is pretty rare for these old drawer style cases. There is some typical wear for the age.The tape plays great overall. No major flaws in the picture. NOTE: the very beginning of the tape does sustain minor damage! My VCR tried eating it. Fortunately, I’m pretty good at freeing tapes from hungry VCRs. The first few seconds might play with some static, but fortunately, it clears up before any of the FBI Warnings or studio bumpers begin.This is the perfect item for the Spider-Man completest!
