This 1996-97 Fleer Ultra Fresh Faces card features Stephon Marbury of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Card #7 of 9 comes from the Fresh Faces insert set and features a distinctive jersey-shaped die-cut design. The reverse notes that the card design was created by Shinto Im, winner of Fleer’s 1995-96 “Design Your Own” NBA card contest.
Marbury was selected fourth overall in the 1996 NBA Draft and became one of the league’s standout point guards, earning two NBA All-Star selections and two All-NBA Third Team honors. He averaged 15.8 points and 7.8 assists as a rookie with Minnesota and was named to the 1996-97 NBA All-Rookie First Team.
