The Suunto® Tandem™ hand-held precision instrument is used all over the world by antenna installation technicians, surveyors, engineers, miners, architects and many others to measure bearings quickly, reliably and easily.
Precision Measurements – The Tandem™ is great for determining the correct location for installation of satellites and antennas, measuring of space angles, plotting directions and locations, and many other uses. The edges are at 90 degrees angles for contact measuring, and optical reading of cards promotes higher accuracy for precise readings in seconds – take the guess work out of things!
Adjustable Optics – Bring the exact degree and distance into focus – easily. The Tandem™ has individual turn knobs for adjusting focus for the compass and clinometers to the visual acuity required for simplified discernment. Adjustable crosshairs also aid in visual perception.
Liquid Filled & Jewel Bearing – Both the compass and clinometer are liquid filled and jewel bearing for smooth, precise movements to pinpoint the correct bearing and angle. Both are individually calibrated as well.
Durable Housing – The Tandem™ in encased in a durable aluminum housing that protects against impact, corrosion, and water. Truly, the Tandem™ can face nearly any environment and still perform. To further prove the integrity, Suunto® provides a 2-year warranty.
Portability Options – The included lanyard attaches to the Tandem™ and can be looped around your wrist for increased security when in use. For portability, a custom nylon carrying pouch with belt-loop and Velcro closure allows you to keep the Tandem™ at your side, protected and handy. For stable operation, the Tandem™ also features built-in threads for a tripod mount (not included).
