This book features renowned playwright and author Thornton Wilder as a senior. He has a great posed head shot in the book (see attached scans).
This is a bound compendium of six yearbooks from 1915-1917 from the school. Please check out our other sale with a copy of Thornton’s senior book by itself.This exterior of the compendium is not in great shape, but EXCELLENT on the inside. The top corner of the front cover was exposed to flame, darkening the leather and exposing the material underneath. The leather on the spine has separated on the long edge (still attached toward the front cover); however the binding is 100% intact. The spine itself shows heavy wear, cracking, and a similar dark spot to the top corner of the front cover. The bottom corners of the covers have been bumped. Conversely, the page block (comprised of the yearbooks) is outstanding. The only wear we can find shows on the cover to the December 1916 book. The pages retain their original gloss and there is no writing at all.
