The Hunter’s World by Charles F. Waterman, published by Random House as a Ridge Press Book. This large-format illustrated volume explores hunting as part of the broader natural environment, combining Waterman’s writing with extensive wildlife and outdoor photography.
The book follows hunting environments and seasons across North America and discusses game species, habitat, migration, hunting conditions, fieldcraft, conservation, and the relationship between hunters and the natural world. It is extensively illustrated, with the publisher describing approximately 300 photographs, including 193 in color, contributed by noted outdoor and wildlife photographers.
This is the 1976 Ridge Press/Random House hardcover edition, 250 pages, printed and bound in Italy by Mondadori Editore of Verona. Photography was compiled and edited by Bill Browning.
Condition: Very good overall. The hardcover book is clean and solid with attractive illustrated contents. Dust jacket is present and shows normal vintage shelf and edge wear, including some wear/creasing around the upper edges/corners as pictured. Interior pages shown are clean and bright.
