This is the original maroon Flash label 45 (623 E. Vernon Ave., Los Angeles) of the classic 1956 doo-wop novelty. The Jayhawks\' original \"Stranded In The Jungle\" reached the Top 20 on both the pop and R&B charts and was famously covered by The Cadets and later the New York Dolls. The flip side is the ballad \"My Only Darling.\" A genuine piece of 1950s L.A. R&B history.

Condition- Vinyl: VG. Plays through with surface marks, light scuffs and some background noise consistent with a 70-year-old record. PLAYTESTED.- Labels: The Stranded In The Jungle label has an old owner\'s typed paper address sticker on the right side and a small mark near the catalog number (see photo). The My Only Darling label has light wear around the spindle hole and light scuffing. No writing.- Sleeve: Comes with a protective static-free sleeve.
