Over the past four decades, his functional stoneware has become highly collectible and has even been featured in prestigious institutions like the Smithsonian's Renwick Gallery.Design & "Easter Egg" Details:The Glaze: Features a striking, textured blue-green speckled/mottled glaze on the top reservoir, contrasted beautifully against a glossy white-glazed pillar stand base.The Clever Structure: The bottom half of the lamp features an open, pillared architecture. This structure doubles as a self-referential tribute to the artist's craft—cleverly mimicking the open styling of a traditional wood-fired pottery kiln layout.Markings: The underside features an incised hand-carved signature reading "diehl" and is dated 1993.Condition:Excellent vintage condition.
