History & Use
The SYM 100.2 battle lantern was part of the Navy’s standardized shipboard lighting equipment (MIL-DTL-16377 specification). Built for durability, these lanterns were watertight, shock-resistant, and designed to provide critical portable lighting during shipboard operations or emergencies. Today they are prized by military collectors, naval history enthusiasts, and industrial design fans.
