Fellow marksmen recalled him coaching at the unit for 10 to 15 years alone, spanning across different generations of Olympic and military shooters.
Because he remained active in the local Fort Moore (Benning) shooting community long after stepping out of uniform, his presence spanned nearly the entire modern history of the Army\'s premier marksmanship program.
