US CIVIL WAR 1840 confederate blockade import Solingen unmarked matched assembly For Sale

The product is a set of original period items from the Civil War, specifically related to the Confederate blockade ran imports during the 1860s. The items are unmarked and were likely made in Solingen Germany and intentionally left unmarked so if caught in confederate hands the Union would not know who supplied them. These items are assembled and matched, offering collectors a unique and authentic piece of militaria history from the Civil War era. A very elderly gentleman pulled this from his safe and asked me to sell it for him since his eyes were failing and the info came from him but appears to all check out from my own research. Apparently the sand cast brass and single metal wrap over the handle were attributed to the lower quality swords sent to confederate troops, and Union swords had inspection marks and manufacturing names. Sword is roughly 40” long and has never been disassembled or frankensteined together from parts and is all original. The leather was is there, ans the handle has hardened and shows cracking age appropriate.
