This very special watch was purchased a long time ago from the highly traditional German jewelry store \"Juwelier Böckelmann\" in the city of Bielefeld. The watch relocated with me and is currently located in Panama.Special Collector\'s Feature (The 8th Watch Ever Made):
This is the Unisex/Large Model (Ref. 6). The extremely low, single-digit serial number 000008 proves beyond a doubt that this is the 8th watch ever manufactured from the very first production batch of this mechanical model launched in 1976. While later quartz models were mass-produced in the hundreds of thousands, this ultra-early first-generation mechanical piece is an absolute rarity and a true holy grail for vintage Cartier collectors - from a time when only few watches left the manufacturer. All stamps and serial numbers on the caseback are perfectly crisp and legible.Specifications & Materials:

• Case: 925 Sterling Silver (Argent) with the original 20-micron thick yellow gold coating (\"Plaque Or G 20 M\" / Vermeil).
• Dial: Stunning, minimalist deep black lacquer dial (no numerals) inexcellentcondition.
• Glass: Original mineral crystal, excellent condition.
• Crown: Original, undamaged with the signature blue cabochon.
• Strap: The leather strap is - after 50 years - a replacement and no longer the Cartier original.
• Inclusions: Comes with its original vintage red Cartier box (no papers).

Condition Note & Authenticity Patina:
The watch is in beautiful, well-preserved vintage condition. The case shows a light, authentic bluish/dark oxidation patina. This is a completely neutral silver oxide reaction typical for vintage Vermeil silver when it sits in a box. It attests to the historical integrity of the case and does not reduce its value. It has intentionally not been aggressively polished to preserve the original 20-micron gold layer. If desired, it can be wiped (look up how or consult an expert) to restore the bright gold color.Please Note: There is one small, minor notch on the edge of the rear caseback (shown in the picture of the rear caseback).Shipping & Customs Clearance:
