This coin celebrates a folk tale – a genre of Ukrainian folklore that transports us into a world of adventure through captivating plots while passing down the wisdom of generations. One of the most popular Ukrainian folk tales is the story of Kyrylo the Tanner (Kyrylo Kozhumiaka), a craftsman whose extraordinary strength allowed him to defeat a dragon – the traditional symbol of evil in Ukrainian folklore – and rescue a city and a princess from captivity.
