Offered is an original 1926 Western Mines Consolidated, Inc. "Report by the President" mining company prospectus documenting proposed mining operations in the Nevada City and Grass Valley mining districts of Nevada County, California. This scarce historical report measures approximately 8.5 x 11 inches and includes numerous pages detailing mine operations, production estimates, corporate information, financial projections, and several large fold-out engineering illustrations including mining claim maps and Providence Tunnel profile drawings. Company officers listed include A. D. Foote, President, with executive offices in Grass Valley, California and headquarters in Reno, Nevada. An excellent piece of early California Gold Rush district mining history, this booklet would make an outstanding addition to collections of mining memorabilia, western Americana, Nevada County history, California gold mining, geological references, engineering history, or vintage corporate reports. The booklet remains in very good vintage condition with expected age toning, light foxing, and minor wear consistent with nearly a century of age.
