Rare Working 1930s Wyandotte Pressed Steel Electric Boattailed Racer.Up for sale is a highly collectible piece of American toy history: a mid-1930s Wyandotte Electric Boattailed Racer pressed steel car.Measuring approximately 10 inches in length, this iconic streamlined racer features its original red paint finish and its legendary integrated dual-headlight electrical system.Unlike most surviving examples, the battery housing and terminal contacts on this vehicle are intact. When a standard D-Cell battery is inserted into the chassis, both front headlights turn on and light up (see listing photos).The body displays an authentic, honest \"played-with\" vintage patina. There is widespread paint chipping, surface scratches, and light oxidation spots commensurate with a 90-year-old toy.Features all four original white rubber wheels mounted on straight factory metal axles, as usual the tires have hardened due to passing time.
