VTG 50s Autumnal Rust Orange Moss Green Plaid Corduroy Crop Pants Wide Leg Check For Sale

Incredible vintage high waisted corduroy trousers with an orange, sienna brown, rusty red, and olive/moss green stained glass check pattern. Likely dating from the 1950s or 1960s based on the style, probably handmade based on the construction. Closes with a side metal zip and double button, includes one pocket and belt loops. The corduroy is lightweight, unlike some which can be stiff and uncomfortable---the fabric has a wonderful drape when on. I\'ve held onto these for quite a while but I haven\'t worn them as much as they deserve. They are too wonderful not to pass on in order to be once again worn & seen & loved :)

FIT NOTES: These are high-waisted, meant to sit tightly at your natural waist. They will best fit an individual with a waist size of 27\" and below. Please note the cropped inseam; these will likely hit at or above the ankle unless you are quite short.

CONDITION NOTES: These pants present beautifully, but there are a few flaws to note. The most obvious is a roughly 1\" repair on the inner thigh; due to the location of the repair and the fact that matching fabric was used it is not terribly noticeable when on. The repair is pictured in the photos provided. The second is some light fading near the bottom of the pants. This was difficult to photograph, though I do think the pictures accurately represent how they look in reality---which is to say, the fading blends in well unless you are looking for it. I did also notice a couple of little pulls in the material at one hip, which is in the last photo. Really nothing that takes away the beauty of these one-of-a-kind pants, though :)

All items are hand-washed in hypoallergenic unscented detergent, air-dried, and steam sanitized before shipping. No scented products of any kind (including moth balls, dryer sheets, room deodorizers, etc.) are used in my home. However, vintage items very rarely smell completely neutral, these clothes have been in storage, and I live in an old house, any of which might impart its own lightly perceptible scent even after laundering---if you are overly sensitive to scents I would advise bypassing vintage in general and my listings in particular might not be right for you.

This item comes from my personal vintage collection, which I have amassed over the course of the last 12 years or so.
